Hi!
Sometimes, a headline really jumps out at you—especially when considered in light of Bible prophecy.
Alex Jones' InfoWars (a site I don't necessarily endorse but read occasionally) published an article in the last few days entitled in part: Dragon Back on Earth.
https://www.infowars.com/dragon-back-on-earth-as-crew-revs-up-station-science/
That story briefly details Elon Musk's privately funded SpaceX Dragon craft's mission and return from space.
You can also read about it here: https://www.geekwire.com/2019/spacex-dragon-splashdown-dark/

As one who observes our times with a Biblical/Scriptural view-point, I am often amazed at what I see taking place in our world—and how much of it confirms and/or reveals Bible prophecy.
---------------------------------
Recently, I painted a digital image I named Draco—and incorporated scripture from the Book of Revelation 12:9-17 in it.

The Bible is filled with references to the Dragon—and as stated in the scripture above—makes it clear that the Dragon is Satan—and the Serpent.
So it is notable to me to learn that SpaceX called their recent mission "Dragon." Then I also discovered that they had named another series of missions "Red Dragon"—yet another description of Satan in Revelation.

Here's a Wikipedia entry on Space X's Red Dragon.

-----------------------------------
Revelation 13 describes beasts that come from both the sea and land. It says about the beast from the sea, "The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. About the beast from the land it says, "...he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence...."

So a headline reading, "Dragon Back on Earth" should be of note to anyone interested in Bible prophecy.
Am I suggesting that the SpaceX Dragon is the Dragon of Revelation?
In a word, no!
It is interesting however, to consider that so many names given by the people of the earth for exploration and celestial names, days of the week, cities and universities, and so on, reflect the "beast system."
Planets are named for the pantheon of ancient Greek and Roman gods and goddesses—such as Jupiter (identified with Apollo), Uranus (or "Father Sky," a Greek primordial god), Mars (the god of war), Venus (goddess of love, beauty, and desire), Saturn (a Roman god), and Pluto (the Greek god of the underworld!).
NASA has named many of its missions and crafts after gods and goddesses as well: Apollo (APOLLYON, or "Destroyer," the rendering of the Hebrew word Abaddon, "the angel of the bottomless pit."), Mercury, Gemini, and even Columbia for example.
Did I say Columbia? As in Washington, DC (the District of Columbia)? Columbia Pictures? Columbia University? Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS TV)?
Yes.
While it is difficult to draw a direct correlation between Columbia and ancient deities—it's clear that Columbia has also been considered a goddess.
An example comes from https://mythologymatters.wordpress.com/2015/07/02/independence-day-mythology-our-goddess-liberty/, where these connections are discussed by Arthur George, who wrote about Columbia:
Her "name comes from the Roman goddess Libertas, but she had a Greek precursor, the goddess Eleutheria (meaning “freedom” or “liberty” in Greek). Zeus in his role as protector of political freedom also was known as Zeus Eleutherios (“Zeus the Liberator”), in whose name a stoa at the Agora in Athens was built after deliverance from the Persians. Eleutheria was also an epithet of Artemis, for whom we have much mythology, but no mythology in her aspect as Eleutheria survives, only her face on some coins."
Further, in related post on mythology.stackexchange.com he shares a coin (as shown below) he asserts was:
"...Struck in Boston in 1776 by Paul Revere himself, depicting "Goddess Liberty" sitting on a globe with her trademark cap, holding her trademark rod in one hand and the scales of justice in the other."

Another coin he shared there reveals further the connection between the "goddess" Liberty and Columbia. He says about it:
It's "essentially the same image was minted (except the cap is on the rod, also a traditional image of Libertas), only now her title was Immunis Columbia."

The Bible says much about Satan (the god of this world) and his system (also called Babylon)—and his final showdown with the creator of the universe—God and His precious Lamb—Jesus. < spoiler alert: God wins : )
So, to see the world naming its explorations of space and the planets after ancient false gods, and even Satan himself—should be very interesting to anyone trying to interpret our world through a Biblical world-view.

I pray this post will spark interest in further Biblical study—and that by reading its Prophetic Words—your heart will be turned more and more to the Love of our Creator God—and the Grace we've been given through the sacrifice and resurrection of His only Son Jesus.

Thank your for stopping by!
May God Bless, Comfort, and Heal as He reveals Himself to you!

Jesus is LORD! Seek Him!
-------------------------------------------
✝ Romans 10:9-10
9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
---------------------------------
If you've made this decision—believed it in your heart and confessed it with your mouth—let God speak to you by reading the Bible—and seek out fellowship with others who also believe.
Pour out your heart to God in Prayer (simply speaking to Him in reverence)—asking Him to reveal Himself to you and to provide for your needs.
Life in Jesus is the best decision you will ever make.
God Bless!
