On Fury's journey to that victory, however, he experienced great highs and dark lows — in both his professional boxing career and personal life.
A Wikipedia Article On Fury Details Some Of Those Trials
"In 2015, after winning a number of heavyweight titles, he celebrated by saying, 'This is a dream come true' — but just ten days later the IBF stripped him of their title.
Fury has admittedly suffered from depression, mental illness, alcoholism, and drug dependency.
At one point during negotiations for a fight, Fury admitted 'he had 'no motivation' and had gained an extreme amount of weight, and weighed over 330 pounds (150 kg) by April 2016.
In June of 2016, it was announced that a fight would be postponed due to Fury sustaining a sprained ankle in training.
On the same day, Fury and his cousin, Hughie Fury, were charged by UK Anti-Doping 'with presence of a prohibited substance,' from a sample taken in February 2015. Tyson and Hughie said that they 'strenuously deny' the charge.
In September, Fury again postponed a fight after being declared 'medically unfit' and ESPN reported that Fury had failed a drug test for cocaine a day before that postponement. Fury cited his problems with depression after the positive test for cocaine.
In an October 2016 interview with Rolling Stone, Fury said 'I’m [battling] lot of personal demons, trying to shake them off. This has got nothing to do with my fighting – what I’m going through right now is my personal life. I've not been in a gym for months. I've been going through depression. I just don't want to live anymore, if you know what I’m saying. I've had total enough of it. Never mind cocaine. I just didn't care. I don't want to live anymore. So cocaine is a little minor thing compared to not wanting to live anymore. I am seeing help, but they can't do nothing for me. What I've got is incurable. I don't want to live. All the money in the world, fame and glory, means nothing if you're not happy.'

Fury's recent victory over Wilder, however, is a testament that he has over-come most of the issues that have plagued him — and after his decisive win over Wilder, Fury made a bold declaration of his faith in Jesus
A Gospel Media Network article reported that in a post fight interview Fury, "Did not hesitate to give praise to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."
In the first half of the video embedded below, Fury says:
"First and foremost, I wanna say thank you my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I said those who bring evil against me will not prosper. I said those who stand in the dark can never come into the light. All praise be to the one and only true God, Jesus Christ.”
It's wonderful to see a world champion athlete give honor and praise to the King of kings and Lord of lords, Jesus the Messiah and Light of the World.

You Can Begin Your New Life With Jesus Right This Moment!
✝ Romans 10:9-10
9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
---------------------------------
If you've made this decision—believed it in your heart and confessed it with your mouth—let God speak to you by reading the Bible—and seek out fellowship with others who also believe.
Pour out your heart to God in Prayer (simply speaking to Him in reverence)—asking Him to reveal Himself to you and to provide for your needs.
Life in Jesus is the best decision you will ever make.
God Bless You!
